How embarrassing is Apple's "iPad Ready" web page?

The page lists web sites which are ready to be viewed with the iPad - it implies that these web sites have no Flash content - the iPad cannot view Flash content. There are some two dozen web sites which are 'ready'. Two dozen out of millions? Also, the web sites are NOT bereft of Flash. CNN.com, for example, has loads of Flash content on it's website. Why is cnn.com therefore listed on the iPad Ready site when it evidently is NOT ready?

Should Apple remove the 'iPad Ready' page quickly as it's just too embarrassing ?

Or have I got this wrong? When you visit one of the listed websites with an iPad does it somehow detect the browser is on an iPad and switch to a special 'iPad version' of the website where there is no Flash content?

can we make apple turn on flash, you know its just a few lines of code.

Let people turn it on if they don't care about a few crashes and a few extra hours of battery.

I think Apple is harming me by being so trite.

I am in for $100 in attorney fees.

    Nope.

It's Apple's decision to turn on Flash and they're not going to. But in all honesty they won't have to. The iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad all represent millions of web surfing devices that don't run Flash.

This is causing sites that use Flash to reconsider their design to accommodate the burgeoning mobile market.

they do that on iPhones, so I'd bet it's the same on an iPad.
