hey. been lurking for a couple months, but i decided to come forward with some 'inside' info. course, it has NOTHING to do with macs, but oh well

a friend of mine who works on the fox lot in LA got to sit in on the live boxing they filmed for the celeb boxing show. he claims that nancy kerrigan (sp?) tag teams with paula jones during the paula/tonya harding fight. harding has a teammate too, but he refused to tell me who... he just said I'd be surprised.

anyway, sounds like it's going to be amusing if for that fight alone.

Why must FOX plague us with this crap? It amazes me that this is the same network that brings us The Simpsons, Futurama, X-Files, etc...

And X-Files will be axed soon. I think next season is the Simpsons last season. Great run though.

Well the X-Files wasn't "axed" as in cancelled by the Network. I'm pretty sure Chris Carter decided it was over (finally). As for the Simpsons I thought I also heard that they have another 3 years on their contract. They also said after the last season they were going to make a movie. <img src="graemlins/bugeye.gif" border="0" alt="[Skeptical]" />

Fox has gone down the drain. "Celebrity Boxing"? "Glutton Bowl"? What the hell are they thinking?

I think they should have a new show: "When Fox executives GO INSANE" - oh wait, we see that show everyday on Fox.

Am I the only one that thought family guy sucked? Maybe that's why it was cancelled?

I'd say that FOX represents the beginging of civilization as we should know it. Instead of making decisions over pointless social constraints, FOX finally is stepping in and marketing programming that will obviously sell. OK, let me think here: what is wrong with selling something?

Networks have been so anal about programming, perhaps due to federal regulations which shouldn't exist. I can understand marketing to an audience, but Fox has NEVER been high-brow. Fox has ALWAYS been about sales. Remember their pilot series "Married with Children?" (Actually, people were saying the same thing about that series as you say about celebrity boxing)

My bottom line is that if you don't like it, don't watch it. And since there's so much TV available these days, you have little or no excuse not to change the channel.

That was the best TV i've seen in a long time, sad but true.

Fox has good and bad shows.

Some of their Dramas are good. "24" is excellent.

Their comedies are killer if you give them a chance. Malcom In The Middle, Grounded For Life, The Bernie Mac Show, That 70's Show, Undeclared are all funny and are a fresh change from what the big three offer. Those networks have run their formulas to the ground!

But, Fox really knows how to dish out crap, too. And that's what people watch. (Can anyone say, Jerry Springer?)
