I got my iPad in today and of course being on 10.4 means I can't synch it w/ my macbook. I got to buy 10.5 and I can't find it anywhere, not even on the apple store - what am I supposed to do?

Well yeah that is best. Looking at articles here, looks like a $29.99 Snow Leopard disc will work. I activated my iPad via my work pc so that problem is solved.

    Spend the $29. OS X 10.6 is a significant upgrade over 10.4.

    1. I prefer Leopard over Snow Leopard.

    2. Am I missing something here? The $29 upgrade is for upgrading Leopard, not Tiger. Isn't the Mac Box Set the only way to go from Tiger to Snow Leopard? Doesn't that cost $169?

    3. It is too bad Apple is so quick to abandon Leopard. Now all PPC users are in the same boat. Finding a copy of Leopard should not be impossible. The Mac Box Set will be a better deal.

    4. If it is possible to upgrade from Tiger to Snow Leopard for $29, Apple has been telling quite an untruth!

It works according to this http://forums.appleinsider.com/showthread.php?t=102204. I imagine it is worth the upgrade and will do it on Monday. Today, I was looking for a quick way to get my iPad up and running. Junker think pad got that done.
