I think a war on poverty would be more effective than a war on drugs.

The vast majority of drug infested neighborhoods are not living in very good conditions, and have no where else to turn.

By reducing poverty, and bringing the lower class up, combined with heavy education, I think we can reduce the drug use of this country more than and full out drug 'war' could ever hope to accomplish.

I think we should watch the UK's new actions (inactions?) very carefully and consider the consequences of the new legislation.

No reason to dismiss the idea completely if our biggest ally is doing it.

War on Drugs= Silly American Propaganda. If they really wanted to stop drugs they'd attack the "Source". Columbia would be a nice start.

YOU dumbos! Just because S11 you think you have every excuse to trounce everything wrong or right? Look in your own back yard first...

Remember America supplied arms to Afganistan during the Cold War, and you put Saddam in power by getting the late King of Iraq overthrown... Stop your Star**cks solutions - you dumb ass w***s

    That should close the thread...

Over the last year or so, the UK have been most active on the drugs debate and already there are moves towards relaxing the laws against soft drugs... IMO soft drugs will not be legalised by 2006 - but will be part of an election manifesto and maybe by 2010 we aill follow Amsterdam...

Cocaine(Crack) cannot be made very easy in the US. The climate isn't beneficial in most areas. Marijuana is prevalent but then again I personally believe Mary Jane is safer than Alcohol. We'll eventually get to cleaning up our own Backyard but first we gotta get those pesky neighbhors to stop throwing their trash in first right?

    Cheers
