Speaker help!?

Quick question....I have a 27' iMac. I am wanting the sound to play through my internal computer speakers AND the speakers connected through the optical cable. Is this possible??

    I think you will need something like iMic. As long as the optical out is not in use, the internal speakers should play-

    As far as I know, it's not possible. Plugging something into the digital/optical port disables the speakers. Plugging speakers into the USB port won't, but activating them will.
