Adobe Releases Crippled OSX Version of Flash 10.1
Adobe releases Flash 10.1.
Still no hardware acceleration for OSX.
Flash for the Mac still sucks.
Thanks Adobe.
This is why Jobs had to call your arses out. Fix this, then talk about Flash for the iPhone/iPad platform.

But John.B. thinks Adobe is lazy for not having it ready to ship when Flash 10.1 was already in late Beta/early Release Candidate stage?!?
If you want the hardware acceleration, you can try out the Gala preview. Otherwise, you'll have to wait a few more months for it to be properly tested and released. If you think it is late, blame Apple.

Hardware acceleration will only support the 9400M, 320M and 330M so no love for ATI machines it seems.
That's one thing that concerns me about an AMD switch - the lack of software support vs NVidia.
It's coming in an update after 10.1:

The lack of support for other cards is due to Apple's policy of neglect. Those are the only three cards that support H264 acceleration on OS X.
