So I just plugged in my cable to charge it and right away there was a burning electrical smell then my display started turning white and my iPod Touch has died.

Every time I connect the cable it gets super hot on the back and nothing happens. Now I can't even turn it off. Just white screen.

Was bought in December 2009. Probably no receipt. Advice?

    LOLZ success is teh fail.

But seriously... Apple has never required a receipt for warranty service. Take it back to your reseller or local service center. Or call Apple to arrange for service by post.
