Mac Pro 09' audio isssue

I have a brandnew mac pro with 2 nehalem's, but it seems to be unable to detect my sony surround sound system I have hooked up to it. It's connected through optical, and yes, with TOSLink cable. It is working, BUT I am unable to enable surround in MIDI setup. It only let's me choose 2-channel, and the only speakers making sound are the left and the right and the sub. Why???



I have Sony DAV-IS10 and Mac Pro 09' nehalem running 2.6GHz with ATI 4870 and Apple's RAId card.
