    That's some hilarious sh*t! I'm hispanic, aww the hell with that, I'm Chicano and there's no way in hell that I want to live in Mexico! The fact that the US/Mexican war was purely a land-grab on the US's part is neither here nor there. It amounts to ancient history by todays reckoning.



    Just keep in mind people, don't take it out on the regular Juan and Juana Garcia/working shmoes, Mexico's Government is whack...

    Why doesn't the Mexican government just give up the rest of itself to America?

    Its children will enjoy better education.

    Its people will find jobs working for American corporations at AMERICAN MINIMUM WAGE and will stop having to cross the border to get lawnmowing jobs.

    Its people will enjoy the protection of the most advanced armed forces on the planet.

    No more undependable peso! It's all about the dollarr baby!



    Plus, we won't have to patrol the border anymore. if the USA absorbs Mexico, the new border with Gautemala and belize will be 500 miles long rather than the current border which is 1500.



    The USA will pay handsomely for electricty generated by solar power plants and delivered by superconductor. Or nukes. Whatever - Mexico, as the 51st state, or howver many states they divvy it into, will be the repository of the nation's nuclear waste. (Don't mention this to the Mexicans! Just make the Nevadans happy!)



    What else? Mexico will become a postindustrial place like the rest of the USA in a few years, skipping the superindustrial stage. (Agriculural - Industrial - Superindustrial - Postindustrial)

    Ya gotta wond3er whtehther the mexican prez expects to get anywhere. The only way to take away land from Americans is to conquer it. We righteously conquered everyone in our paths - the Indians, the Mexicans, other immigrants. The survivors are the Americans of today, enjoying the best lifestyle in the world because we can kick anyone's ass.

    That's easy! Eliminate the borders!



    In the old days, people can walk anywhere at anytime without having the worry that they might be arrested. One can ship goods from one place to another without worrying that they go an export permit, one can get jobs anywhere without worrying if they got a work permit. Etc.
