Don't be so sure. There are those that beleive that the holocaust is all a big media perpetrated hoax. And besides, not everyone has read the Tolkein novels and knows what they are called. SOoe people are just over-sensitive and jump on the bandwagon without checking facts. How many sigs has the petition gotten so far?

There will be alot more signatures. There are much more than 3400 idiots in the world.

You'll notice that essentially all of those signatures were either deleted as invalid (did someone hack this?) or are incredibly negative regarding the petition. Some of them are pretty funny to read. I couldn't find a single signature supporting the proposed name change. I suspect that this is a hoax, but Tolkein fans are pissed off anyway.

Try read the comment people have made. Less than 1% actually take their signature seriously and about 1000 has this text "false entry voided".

The guy who posted the petition is using an assumed name and a false email address. So you know nothing about the peron who actually posted the petition and set it in motion.
