Digtimes says an A9 based iPad early next year!
Seem plausible. I do wonder if it will be a SMP machine and how many processors will be in the thing.
The processor however isn't keeping me from buying an iPad. Rather it is the lack of RAM that keeps me away. Looks like that gets upgraded too.
I know Digitimes has a poor track record but this seems almost obvious. Further i suspect this will be the first full custom PA Semi engineered SoC. Makes one wonder just what level of integration Apple will obtain and if fresh goodies will end up in the chip.

I do agree the next revision of the iPad will have a faster CPU and more RAM.
I don't have any issues with my current iPad though, supposedly suffering from low RAM. It's different from a netbook or PC. Just, different... Hard to describe, but fun to use.
