Yellow tints on iPhone 4 display!

Hi! I'm an Italian user and this is my first post in this community!

Unfortunately my iPhone, bought on 6th august, has a yellow tint on the display. I have read the post from Austingaijin:

"Apple is using a bonding agent called Organofunctional Silane Z-6011 to bond the layers of glass. Apparently, Apple (or more likely Foxconn) is shipping these products so quickly that the evaporation process is not complete. However, after one or two days of use, especially with the screen on, will complete the evaporation process and the yellow "blotches" will disappear.

How do I know? I was involved in pitching Z-6011 to Apple
"

I'm quite perplexed...

I have read a lot of internet pages about this problem and I begin to think that people that told that the spots had gone, checked the phone when it was "cold". In fact, I think that the spots are visibile only when the phone is "hot" by the use...so, I think that the spots won't go away and that the only solution is call the assistance.

What dou you think about?

Sorry, I didn't have this issue and hadn't heard any reports of it persisting more than a day or two. If it's still there after a week, take it back to the store; I would think they could exchange it.

I think that taking the phone back to the store will be best thing to be done in this case. They will check the phone and do the needed and if the fault cannot be solved and it is a production defect they will be kind enough to hand over a new one to you. So, get to the store and talk to them at the earliest as they will be the best people to help you.

I spoke with the assistance, they told me that the tints will disappear in two or three weeks, but if I want, they will change my iPhone without any problems. What do you recommend to do? Wait or change my iPhone?

It doesn't really matter, although if you get a new phone, you can just have the Apple guys put your current SIM card into the new one. So it's not a bad idea to exchange for a new one. Just do it in-store; I doubt they'd do a SIM-switch by mail.

I noted a small yellow-brown blotch on the screen after about 1/2 hr use on the day I bought the phone. I returned it to the store and they gave me a new one- no questions asked.
