Flash 10.1 problem

Last week I installed Flash 10.1 onto my macbook pro & I have been

noticing some strange screen artifacts that happen occasionally.

The artifacts would stay on my screen even after turning off my

browser. The only way to get rid of them is to restart my computer.

Has anyone else noticed this problem? I'm assuming this is

happening because of the new version I downloaded since I bought

the laptop 6 weeks ago & haven't had any artifacts until after

installing Flash 10.1.

Also, any idea how to reinstall the previous version of Flash?

If you go into /Library/Internet Plug-ins/ you will see the Flash player plugins. Move those files out of there and put in the plugins from the following file:

That's Flash 10.0, someone may have the 10.1 version just before the security update that included hardware acceleration. I wonder if the artifacts are being caused by the dual GPU in the MBP, especially if it's the one with Intel graphics.

I think there's an option to disable integrated graphics altogether so you can try that to see if it fixes it but you will lose some battery life.

Adobe has an archive of older flash installs, http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/142/tn_14266.html

Good idea to go straight to the source vs. a user-created rapidshare file.
