iOS App to play ripped DVD folders and BluRay iso copies over a network- possible?

I was wondering- anyone know if it is possible- with the upcoming apple tv using ios (assuming it is real) could it run an app specifically designed to play rips of DVD or bluray movies? Thanks for any opinions.

    Sure you can do that now. Just as long as the rip is in a format the iTV supports

    No I mean if the bluray iso is ripped or the DVD folders are ripped without any conversion- if someone could make an app that would read those formats. I am not asking about playing something on the current apple tv.
