If I were you, I'd take it back and pay the restocking fee if you have to. You are going to save nearly $200 and you just lose local storage. To make up for this, it streams content right from your computer anyway so it's no big deal.
It takes up 1/4 of the space, it runs with a 6 watt PSU instead of a 48 watt PSU so much cooler, no chance of the hard drive breaking. The new one does only have HDMI out so it might not work with older TVs but with the $200 you save, you can get a new TV.
