7455 scales to 1GHz. 7460 should scale to 1.3GHz
If Apollo actually goes 130nm then we may see some 1.6GHz G4's. And Motorola stated that Apollo would be here Q1 02. If the G5 is NOT here by MWNY then they better be including a beefed up system bus to replace MPX. They might even remove MPX and 60x support and replace it with RapidIO or take advantage of the space savings by going to 130nm and include a memory controller. But it seems to me that the Apollo will be more than just a process bump. How would this line up look for MWNY:
1GHz G4 with 512KB L2 with 400MHz RIO
256MB DDR SDRAM
DVD/CDRW
60GB HDD ATA/133
Radeon 7500
$1599
1.2GHz G4 with 512KB L2 with 400MHz RIO
256MB DDR SDRAM
Superdrive
80GB HDD ATA/133
Geforce4 MX
$2299
1.6GHz G4 with 512KB L2 with 400MHz RIO
512MB DDR SDRAM
Superdrive
80GB HDD ATA/133
Geforce4 MX
$2799
Dual 1.4GHz G4 with 512KB L2 with 400MHz RIO
512MB DDR SDRAM
Superdrive
100GB HDD ATA/133
Geforce4 MX
$3299
