Work around needed to get free yahoo e-mail on my iPod touch!

just up graded my ipod touch from 3.0.1 to OS 4.1 and guess what, I can not use my free Yahoo email on the mail app on ipod touch touch...



Apple tells me that yahoo wants us to up grade to Yahoo's paid e-mail...



I am not willing to do this...



Any way to get free yahoo e-mail to work on my ipod touch again in OS 4.1 (Yes I can use Safari but its better on the mail app)

    Easy. Set up a yahoo.co.uk or yahoo.com.hk or yahoo.com.sg or yahoo.co.in account instead of a yahoo.com account.



    Those domains allow free users to enable POP access for Yahoo Mail.

    I have free yahoo mail accounts working just fine on both a 4th gen iPod Touch and iPhone 3GS, iOS 4.1. Not sure why you couldn't do it. Try deleting the account and adding it again.
