This is a sad day for Apple. Where the hell is the Apollo? I want my 1Ghz PowerBook!

If you call Apollo the SOI, .18µ version of the G4, then this is Apollo. I believe there are two Apollo's, the 7455 1GHz one and the 7445 low power 800Mhz one.

This is Apollo. We thought it would be 7460, but it's 7455. Apollo = 7450 + SOI = 7455. I doubt you'll have a Ghz PowerBook until they get the size of the chip down, too, but who knows?
[edit: oops, &?]* beat me too it. Or whatever that name is.

If the 7455 really is the Apollo (which I think it is) then this might actualy be a good thing for Apples future PM. Obviously Apollo didnt scale as well as I and many had hoped. But now where is Apple going to go? Is there anything left? This could be the end of the G4 folks. And the only thing left for Apple do to is to serve us a nice helping of G5 just like mom used to make.

LOL!
7450 + SOI + 0.18 = 7455 --> PowerMac (Today)
7440 + SOI + 0.18 = 7445 --> PowerBook (Coming Soon)
We are still waiting for...
7450 + SOI + 0.13 = 7465 --> PowerMac
7440 + SOI + 0.13 = 7460 --> PowerBook

7400 + time + money + even more time and money = 8500\t--\tPowerbook (Hopefully this decade)
