Is Apple screwing AppleTV customers?

in iPod + iTunes + AppleTV edited January 2014
I've just rented Back to the Future on my AppleTV. However, I check it beforehand on iTunes as some films are negligibly more expensive to buy than rent. On the iTunes store Back to the Future costs £9.99 to buy, £2.49 to rent. On the AppleTV, however, it costs £3.49. I realise this maybe for HD but in which case why is HD not available through the iTunes store?

It depends on the studio. Apple TV has always had some HD versions that the iTunes store on a computer doesn't.

Studios are fucking you, not Apple. Not that Apple doesn't fuck you, but when it comes to content they aren't doing the fucking - elegantly speaking.
