Can I still use my iPhone 3g internet even if I'm not subscribed to at&t's data plan?



My uncle gave me his iPhone, but I'm my Family plan isn't tied up with a data plan. I've read some articles about jail-breaking an iPhone, but all i know about jail-breaking is it only does give you apps and all that stuff that it gives you, BUT MY QUESTION IS, HOW CAN I USE MY IPHONE'S INTERNET WITHOUT HAVING TO PAY ANY DATA PLANS or SUBSCRIBING TO ANY OF IT? WHAT WILL I DO TO ENABLE USING SOME APPS THAT WOULD BE HANDY PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME thanks

    No, of course not. Do you get Internet access at home without paying for it?



    Either buy a plan from T-Mobile and use their EDGE (you can't use 3G) or deal with AT&T's plans.
