Setting up GMail accounts: GMail versus Microsoft Exchange setup

I'm sure this has been addressed, but my searches aren't coming up with a precise answer to this question:



When setting up GMail accounts on the iPhone (iOS 4.1) what are the advantages/disadvantages of using the "GMail" versus "Microsoft Exchange" setup "wizards"?



I'm specifically wanting my 4 GMail accounts to be pushed to my phone. My sense is that Exchange accounts are the way to go, but thought I'd ask....

    Using the exchange option let's you sync with your google account OTA. Picking the gmail option requires you to sync through iTunes. AFAIK.
