Can I run the 30" ACD on my 17" Macbook pro?
I have a 30" ACD and a late 2009 17" MBP with 9400m+9600m gt and a Mini Displayport to DVI adapter.
I know I need a Mini Displayport to Dual Link DVI Adapter to use the full 2560x1600 resolution of the 30", but they are $180 in New Zealand. I don't mind paying that much, but since it will take a week for Postage and handling, is there any alternative to increase the resolution?
Also, I thought if I closed the lid on the 17" MBP, I could maybe power the full resolution of the 30". Is that possible?
