Upgrading questions w/AT&T for 1st time

This will be my first ever iphone upgrade coming up Feb 28. Should I go ahead & get the iphone 4 or wait a few months & get the 5? Will there be a huge difference in features from 4 to 5. Now that Verizon has the iphone will Apple ask you what carrier you would like it with?

    Buy when you need it. Since it's a phone, you never "need" it.
