This just in:

>FAIR's government relations staff attending the House Judiciary Committee mark-up just reported that the committee approved by a vote of 18-15, H.R. 1452, the Criminal Aliens Relief Bill. The legislation would make it easier for foreign nationals who have been convicted of aggravated felonies to avoid deportation and allow some convicted and deported felons to return to the U.S. and become permanent residents.

Representative Lamar Smith (R-TX) was eloquent in his opposition to the amended bill, but lacked the votes to stop the legislation. The original vote was a voice vote, but Smith asked for a recorded vote to make sure the Republicans and Democrats who voted for the bill can be held accountable.

All of the Democrats present voted for the measure along with the Chairman James Sensenbrenner (R-WI), Henry Hyde (R-IL), Chris Cannon (R-UT), Darrel Issa (R-CA), and Melissa Hart (R-PA). Thanks for your efforts calling and writing the members of the committee, but unfortunately, special interests won this round. We will work to stop this bill from going to the House floor and will alert you when your assistance is needed.

Add to this travesty Presidente Bush's attempts at making illegal aliens legal, Orrin Hatch's sponsorship of a bill giving illegal aliens in-State tuition rates AND legalization if they attend college! Out of State AMERICANS are not eligible for in state tuition if they move to another state but people who don't even belong in the country are given that right.

What the hell is up with the Republican party? What happened to their law and order positions? Why even vote Republican if they are going to be even bigger pussies than the Democrats? As far as I'm concerned the Republican Party is D-E-A-D................

Here's what's wrong with the Republican party. Everyone has to be politically correct nowadays. If the Republicans want to keep seats in congress and remain in power, then they have to be politically correct too. This means that they have to disctiminate against the American white male as much as possible. Everyone is so eagar to cry "racism" and "racial profiling" now that it is easier for lawmakers to give in to the pressure, even if it jepordizes our security. I could elaborate further but I don't think anyone cares to hear it.
