The kidnapped 7 year old girl here in Philly escaped her captors by biting through the duct tape binding her. Then forced her way through the locked basement door, made her way to the living room, where she broke the front window and screen, and yelled for help!



Now there is a child with bravery. Seems that the captors were trying to extort money from the parents insurance policy. The policy was from an uncle who was shot and killed last year...



I was so sick of hearing these unfortunate children being kidnapped lately that this good news was a relief.



Think this kid got survival skills from living in an area of crime? Maybe just moxie? Whatever...Philly is happy this story ended with a happy ending.

I just hope they catch the bastards that did this. Can she lead the police to the house that she was held at?

The house she was held in was abandoned. Last I heard, two men were reported to be involved, and police were still searching for them.

The two men being sought were "known by the family" whatever that means.
