HP iPad

It's officially called the HP TouchPad, but I'm calling it the HP iPad. Exact same screen res and dimensions as iPad. It's HP's iPad. They even used the same National Geographic website as Apple did in their marketing.



Available in summer 2011, after iPad 2. Slightly heavier than WiFi iPad. 740g versus 680g (iPad 3G 730g). Even the iPad WiFi is a bit too heavy IMO and could do with being lighter. This thing is slightly heavier. Not by much, but by some. Weight is not just an important part of the design of these 10" tablet devices, it's crucial to the reason the device exists.

    I liked Palm and held on to the Treo as long as I could.



    But matching the iPad1 specs (albeit with a camera) three months after iPad2 hits the shelves is a marketing disaster waiting to happen.
