I won £500 by calling Supermarket Sweep's phone-in competition.



It was a few years ago and I was supposed to be in school, the next day they announced my name on national TV but I don't think anyone seen it

I won a full tuition scholarship to an architecture school, and turned it down. I then "won" over $50,000 in debt to go to another architecture school.

When I was about seven years old, maybe younger, Cap'n Crunch had this contest... where inside the boxes of cereal would be this 800 number that you called to save the Cap'n from the evil soggies. If you called all numbers correctly, I guess you won $100, because like a month later my parents were like, "Um, Jack, you got a letter from "The Cap'n"... oh, a $100 check to be precise"



I blew it all at Toys R Us



I won $500 in a cycling race once. Which was great, because usually my category didn't get monetary prizes... we usually got a beer mug or something with "First Place" written on it. I literally have seven of those, and I don't even drink beer....

Right now the thing I WOULD REALLY LIKE TO WIN would be a monthly ticket (or two months ticket) for british airways ... to use to ALL their flights <img src="graemlins/smokin.gif" border="0" alt="[Chilling]" />



...bleah, just have to go tomorrow to buy the return ticket.. if i find nothin' reasonalbe as flights i'll have to do 1660 km in train (yes, that is 'only' 24 hours...)



just seeing how the personnel in the airport i should go to have been arrested for stealing of tehe bagages.. whatever. if i would have kids i think i would put them anywhere else just to be able to hold my ibook with me <img src="graemlins/smokin.gif" border="0" alt="[Chilling]" />

I ended up winning the 'next generation of consoles'.



I got a GameCube, Xbox, PS2, and Game Boy Advance. It was cool to win but I had to pay the sales tax in Massachusetts for winning my prizes.



The cool part was that I got them on the day the came out!



The bad part was that the place I had to pick up the PS2 from had scummy salespeople who sold consoles they weren't supposed to instead of mine. <img src="graemlins/embarrassed.gif" border="0" alt="[Embarrassed]" />



I got it a month late but as a result, I got free games and controllers to go along with every console from that point out! :cool:

Never won anything (probably because I rarely enter contests and NEVER buy lotto tickets...major scam). However, once or twice in my life I have happened across an orphaned $5 bill or two. Beyond that, not much.
