Hey all,

Looking for some advice and possible speculation I guess. Was looking at getting a new iMac, the low end model(closest to my budget). However, I had also read that they were planning on doing a redesign with the sandy bridge intel chipset in them? With the recent recall on the sandy bridge chipset, would you buy a current i3 or wait until the next iteration?

What does the recall have to do with anything? You really think Apple would ship those boards?

If the new MacBook family has a new port, wait. Otherwise, buy when you need it.

I didn't think they'd ship them. I was more looking for how much of a delay it might cause before the update would happen.

    You thinking LightPeak?

I'm thinking nothing. People are saying LightPeak or a variant thereof, so it's worth it to wait and see if anything happens.
