Beck - "Sea Change"
Maybe it's Beck's recent foray into Scientology or maybe he has just gotten older and mellowed out, but Sea Change is so mellow and not-weird it's frightening.
It is more like Mutations (his most unappreciated album, IMO) than any of the others, but instead of a blues/roots-rock feel there's definitely an uber-mellow pop feel. The tracks run together to a large extent and that's not an entirely bad thing.
I am reminded of the Beatles and of Radiohead. I've only heard it a couple of times so my thoughts aren't really complete on it.
I like it very much so far.

OH! You mean BECK! I saw him on Futurama when Bender toured with him. I know he must have done wierd sounding songs because he told Bender to write his lyrics using the dictionary of Beck.
I wonder why I start threads because when I see that Groverat hasn't replied and I get very upset.
Then sometimes I get a little angry.

I went to the store today to get Mutations, but damn if CDs aren't too expensive these days.
One of the (few) perks of being a semi-working journalism student.
Oh gods no, I have something in common with groverat!
