LaCie has a HD series (actually SSD) announced with Thunderbolt. No price listed

    That drive looks like a great external drive but I reckon it'll be $999 at least. Worth it for some though as a RAID-0 SSD will give 500MB/s transfer rates or more and that drive has a 500GB capacity.

    Announcement says "...PROMISE Technology's Pegasus hardware RAID solution will be available for order from the Apple Store." Q2 Preconfigured to support Time Machine.

    This is looking promising... just when my work system is due for an upgrade later this year!



    Hopefully the MacPro will be upgraded to Thunderbolt soon, and the Apple displays.
