iPad and iDisk

The last time I asked I heard that the iDisk app for the iPad was little different to that for the iPhone. Has that changed? Can you now view iDisk documents and amend then and save them back? Or have a local version on the iPad? I have many large pdfs I'd like to read and annotate but that includes on the underground so I'd want a local version on the iPad which would later sync back to MobileMe. Can I do this?
