I just notice this, when i'm on Yahoo home page, my macbook pro runs much hotter than when i'm on say google home page or apple. When I look at the activity monitor under Finder, there's a listing- Flash player (safari internet plug-in) - a plug in running for flash that the like 130% of the cpu when i'm on yahoo page. I haven't noticed this before the last update. wondering if any one else has come across this as well.

    Obviously; it's Flash.

Get Click2Flash or Click2Plugin and never worry about it again.

Is this 1996? Why is anyone still using Yahoo!?

Depends on what of Yahoo you still use.

I consider having no email address changes in 15 years a major benefit (I have another one even older/longer!). Like my phone number, and bank account numbers. No address changes avoids confusion, and saves me having to notify everybody and his uncle of mutations, it saves them mutating, and it saves all concerned making mistakes.

That's for devs, not for users.
