how, and how much does it cost to create a patent?

    i realise what time is it...

    i was thinking on the question for a very long time before i undertood it right.

    (in italian patente = drivers licence).

    You have to do research for prior art, and you usually get a lawyer to walk you through it all. I forget what it costs to file it, but that usually isn't the expensive part.



    You can go to the patent office web site for more information - i forget the url, just google it

    I dont know costs or urls



    but it is alot

    -You will need to get yourself a Patent Attorney to handle the legal side of things



    -You will have to do research on anthing similar or for anything prior to your design



    -Then you file the right sort of application depending on if it is an invention, design or plant
