What's with this? I saw the Osbournes Calender and 9 out of the twelve photos in it have them giving the middle finger...



Eminem, today's youth and many others are doing this...has "fvck you" become the new form of "cool" greeting?

    Ahhh, nothing like a good healthy respect for your fan base. You never see them giving the finger to the suits that sign their paychecks.

    It's the cool thing to do. All the surly people (legit and otherwise) use it as common code for "I can't be bothered...my hair is too black and my guitar is slung too low. And I wish I wasn't such a pinheaded mope".

    ... as for Artman's sentiment, I must agree with that also and add: those of us who were teens during the Ferris Bueller era would like to extend a hearty "Go piss up a flag pole" to those surly teens. Especially the dork in that calendar.

    i went to the Everclear concert tonight and their base player gave us all the 2 handed bird during So much for the Afterglow. pretty amusing. kick ass concert too, btw...

    ...after all, what is a concert good for (really) without getting the bird from at least one of the band members?



    Now that I think about it, I seem to recall from college the band Primus (I thought they blew so never paid much attention to their stuff) used to egg people on to shout at and curse them. They wouldn't start playing the music until the crowd was saying "F*ck Primus!" or "Primus Sucks! Primus Sucks!".



    In fact, I think someone in here brought the same thing up as well, a long, long time ago. Back before the first major blackout.
