Anyone ever use Mac Raffle?

I forgot I put some money into this site, only $50 or so. So I decided to visit the site, and its been shut down. In its place is a message board, with an explaination of the Ohio Attorney General accusing Mac Raffle of illegal gambling.



The thing that concerns me, is if you read the explainations on the boards by the owner of Mac Raffle, there are several contradictions.



I guess my money is lost forever. Serves me right I suppose. <img src="graemlins/oyvey.gif" border="0" alt="[No]" />

    I posted on their boards, requesting my money back and got banned. Seems they ripped me off

    That guy had a pretty big scam going. He claimed he can't get refunds out, because the authorities took his computer, and all his customer contact information.



    Nice story. I guess the same thing would happen if his hard drive failed.



    "Sorry, my hard drive crashed. I can't give any refunds, or contact the winner. I'll email you when I get back from Paris."



    Bastard.



    Think of it as a $50 lesson.
