Quick! Someone check the archives...I think I posted a mini-rant about this very thing back when they were getting hitched. And, if I recall, I believe I got slightly reamed for it ("pscates, you're so cynical!", "...you don't know everything", etc.).

    Uh, actually I do.

BTW, I STILL - despite the grief it bought me - maintain my "Affleck/J Lo union is a bunch of bullcrap" stance.

It's tough for celebrity marriages. Two strong careers, always gone (off on tour, making a movie, etc.). The temptations that accompany fame, money and all can really add to the trouble to, I would imagine.

I ALWAYS take these hyped-up celebrity pairings with a huge grain of salt...ESPECIALLY when one or both of the couple seems to be quite "all over the place" when it comes to boyfriends, engagements, marriages, divorces, breakups, etc.

Some people - celebrity and otherwise - go through relationships and partners about like I make Pop-Tarts: a couple of times a month and particularly on weekends.

BTW, Artman...nice pull on the old Elvis song for the thread title. Didn't think anyone would notice, huh?

These Hollywood marriages are so aggravating. Every time we have to listen to this bull about how, this time, they've found real love and this guy or this woman completes me so much and bring balance to my life and so on, and so on. If they would just broaden their minds outside Hollywood they may actually find someone that really makes them happy. It would also increase all of our chances of landing a film star

I'd marry Fairuza Balk (even though she scares me a little). If she didn't want me, then I'd pop the question to Gillian Anderson (aka the Sexiest Redhead That's Ever Lived).
