Just seeing who around here got snow and how much yesterday...or today I guess if you are in the northern coast. I live in pennsylvania near harrisburgh and got 8"
haha I live in Louisiana. We got nothing but a bunch of politicians slinging mud....oh I'd say about 5 inches of mudd. <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laughing]" />

Everytime we get flurries here they declare it a "snow emergency" and all the news channels have live team coverage of the "Great Blizzard of 2003" (or whatever year it is). As for me, I haven't had sticking snow at my house since 1996.
Here in Blacksburg, VA, (near Roanoke, I-81), we got 7 to 8 inches of snow. On my way to class this morning, it starting snowing a little bit, but stopped a half hour later.

My friend is flying in to Roanoke tomorrow. Is the snow still going to be around and are there going to be airport delays?
I'm not sure. But Roanoke is at a lower elevation than blacksburg, so it should be warmer there than it is here. And we are just barely below freezing.
its been snowing in boston since yesterday around 1pm, and of course, BU will never close the school. there was even a fire in the cas building today (enough to set off fire alarms, sprinklers, shut down elevators, and kick people in the building out for a little bit) but sure enough, classes continued asap.
I had a horrible commute yesterday, it took me 2 hours to get into the city, and then my car had trouble getting up a hill. I left at 1 PM, and the ride home was a lot faster.
I wish it had been wet snow, at least then I could have made a fort or something.

I couldn't get my car out of my parking space this morning without a lot of effort, I guess that makes it an emergency?

So, AFTER I took a shower, AND got dressed, I heard that schools were closed
they decided 45 minutes before schools opened, and a lot of people I spoke to were already on their way!

The best Halloween I ever had was a 28 inch snow storm in Burnsville MN.
