The Apple iDevice development now is seeming more like automobile model year changes from years back - more fins, less fins, more lights, more chrome, less, rounded, squareish, rounded again -- just so you will buy the new 'cooler' 'in' design...
You mean like what they've been doing with iPods for years?
Some people are speculating that Apple will get rid of the bezel for an edge to edge screen. But what if instead, they decide to use these glass cutters to curve the bezel? The screen itself could remain flat as it is now, but the edges where the bezel is could be slightly rounded or tapered for a better feel in the hand so that the phone doesn't feel so angular. Similarly, the back of the phone, if it turns out to be glass again, could also benefit from this, again leaving most of the back flat, but the edges being curved in.

It will mostly prevent the horrible bleeding of light from the flash into the camera lens that is observed to fog photos taken with the iPhone 4.
Thank you. Someone gets it. Red-eye reduction would be nice too.
