This quote:

"The president's budget projects a $307 billion deficit next year on top of this year's $304 billion shortfall.Â*The deficits are the largest ever in hard dollars, but less in terms of percentages than the 1992 budget, which at $290 billion represented 4.7 percent of the overall budget.

Congress is likely to insist that the buedget be increased"

End Quote.

The same leftist assholes in congress (and in here) who rail against tax cuts want to INCREASE spending. There you have it. Right there.

NewsFlash, Ms. Pelosi: Tax cuts are NOT spending. The problem is SPENDING. SPENDING, SPENDING and....let me think....SPENDING. You want to avoid deficits in a poor economy? Good...me too. CUT SPENDING. Perhaps if we didn't increase the federal budget by double digits for the latter half the nineties (each and every year) we WOULDN'T have deficits.

This is our government for you, ladies and gentlemen. You and I tighten our belts if we need to. We might go into debt to fund essential priorities when we need to. Not the liberals, who initiated a spending binge at the Federal, State and Local levels that we can no longer pay for! Oh, but your right, Mr. Kennedy. Your right, Ms. Pelosi. Your right, Mr.Daschle.....we can't "afford" a tax cut.

Hehe. 'Buedget'. I'm not surprised Fox News missed that one. They'll probably fix it soon.

Any way, you can't do this old song and dance about the Democrats wanting a bigger budget since it's the Republicans that have control of the Congress.

You want to complain about this? Why don't you talk to your Republican Congressional leaders instead since they are the ones who have the 'power' to ask for this- not the Democrats who are in the minority right now.

BTW, please tone down the langauge. Thanks.

Edit: Seems Fox News caught their mistake. Darn.

I agree. SDW, in the words of Alcimedes, "you can do better than that."

Fran's got us this time. Congress will always take care of their own. Pork knows every party. But this time the Rep's hold the committees and have majority vote. Democrats will use any result for political advantage.
