So, Jeff Daniels was in "Gettysburg", and now he is in the new one..uhm.."Gods and Generals"?

DOES he play the same part in both? because that would be just plain silly if he didn't, y'hear? <img src="graemlins/cancer.gif" border="0" alt="[cancer]" /> <img src="graemlins/cancer.gif" border="0" alt="[cancer]" /> <img src="graemlins/cancer.gif" border="0" alt="[cancer]" />

I'm pretty sure he plays the same role in both films.

Anyone know anythig about this? Is it another 6-hour marathon like Gettysburg or is this a more "theater-friendly" film?

damn, was the theatrical cut 6 hours? I remember it played in theaters because I was going to see it, but couldn't b/c of time. I know my LD boxed set (that comes with a civil war bullet! ) is like 6 hours long...could be a director's cut though.

I did go and see Gettysburg in the theater.

Yes it was 6 hours long.

It was a great film and in my opinion the time flew by pretty quickly (aside from pee breaks)

I wish more U.S. films were over 2 hours +. They need to keep more story, do more development and stop thinking we all have an IQ of about 50.
