Thanks for the feedback everybody....
Hey guys, I already got some good feedback on this thread, but if you feel like contributing then please don't let me stop you...everybody's opinion is appreciated.
A friend of mine wrote, produced and recorded a book on tape last year, which I've mentioned in here before. A (good) review of this book on tape has recently been published in a magazine catering to fans of books on tape and accordingly she has seen a spike in traffic to her website, but not an accompanying spike in sales. She's doing some marketing studies of her own, but I wanted to ask you folks to skip on over there and take a look at it and tell me (in this thread) what you like/dislike about the website or the product. I know that you may be as disinterested in books on tape as I am, but if you've got a second jog over there and take a look at this anyway~
<a href="http://www.tapeescapes.com" target="_blank">TAPE ESCAPES (click here to go to site)</a>
Marketing research questions:
1) What do you think of the the book's title?
2) Comment on the price of the book on tape.
3) Do you recognize the actors who perform additional parts on the tape? Did this affect your opinion of the product?
4) What would change about the product's artwork?
5) Does the subject matter interest you?
6) Does the website load quickly on your computer?
7) What would you most like to change (book or site)?
8) Add any general thoughts you might have about this product/website or genre in general.
Thanks you guys!

What's "depilitating"?
1) I got it worng. Missread it as "prop window". The only place I can read the title is in the picture of the box. Maybe it needs to be in HTML so people like me can read it.
2) Didn't look at price.
3) No. Don't know this stuff.
4) Maybe the image of the car made me think "window" and not "widow"?
5) No. I'm not an over the hill divorce.
6) Loads fine but I'm on cable and Safari
7) Hummm? Don't know
I listened to the first audio sample and ... I don't need 10 minutes describing a massage chair. I walk pass one at work every day. Yawn. Sorry. I guess it's 'pose to target women and I'm not one of those.
Yeah, the girls really get into this more than guys I think...
2) Sounds like a 'yellow book' (paperback, crime series instead of the harlequins or the westerns)
3) No
4) I don't know
5) No
6) With boosted Chimera and dsl, ok
7) Both leave me untouched. The white - black look looks unrelated
8) I don't like books intended for women. I'm a fast reader = I prefer books instead of cassettes, I don't even have a cassette player. I want to skip the boring parts (eccessive descriptions etc).
Is that Italian?
If there was the possibility to download the book as mp3 (and pay something with paypal) I could maybe like it. But maybe it could cost a bit less as an mp3.
I think that the MP3 route is the "scariest" route for any producer these days, but the word is that people who are into books-on-tapes have no problems with the cassette tape format....in fact, book-on-tape fans prefer the cassette because they can stop the tape exactly where they're at and come right back to them (I know, you can do the same with MP3).
Well, so thanks for the feedback you guys...I'll pass it along!
