the karatemonkey parks his deathcar in the second red roof down from the expressway across the street from the basketball court. (man it looks crowded!)

actually "the ike" (I-290) goes down to six lanes (much to commuters chagrin) in oak park. so only the top half is asphalt, the bottom half is a freight train line and chicago's beloved "el."
Maybe it's some sort of strange caching that mapquest is doing to me on your links. no wonder
and superkaratemonkeydeathcar, I know the 'el'. You can see it in my picture (right side of 1st photo in this thread).

I remember someone finding a service on the net where you could find your own house on a satelitte photo.
Anyone have the link?

MapQuest does this...they use a service called GlobeXplorer. Also try terraserver.microsoft.com...
Mapquest was the one I was looking for. But it looks like they have removed the satelitte part except for americal AOL users.
But thanks anyway.

Since I've got AOL do you want me to get the pic for you?
My building is right at the end of the red arrow at top.

At school my room is here:
it is actually accross the street from that little pin
i coulda swore u used to be able to get closer, i remember being able to make out the steps in front of my house in 7th grade (i'm in 11th now)
I guess the tide came in between the photos being taken, hence the funny join over the harbour.
