Here's the article:

Basically, they rate each passenger after doing a background check. You're either green (trusted Patriot), yellow (liberal or foreigner), or red (Middle Eastern male age 15-40). Naw, just joking, greens go through without any special treatment, yellows get some added security when checking in, and reds aren't allowed on the plane.

What do you think of this? Does it violate personal privacy? Does it turn our government into Big Brother? Or is it a necessary safety measure?

my one fear of this is that terrorist that want to hijack planes will just find a well to do family, kill them and steal their idenity (credit cards, driver's license etc)...we give a green light to "mr robbins" because he has good credit...but is it really mr robbins??? i would rather have good testing machines for explosives and good checks of all passangers and freakin locks on pilot cabin doors (why that wasn't always there is beyond me)...

    Wait...did I read that right? Are they saying that if I don't check a bag I'm going to be flagged? <img src="graemlins/bugeye.gif" border="0" alt="[Skeptical]" />

The most dangerous part of the air travel is the journey to the airport.
