death row on the frontline

Why not train people on death row as specialist. like navy seals. Then give them the option to serve or stay and die. Some might do it, and if they are already dead to society they might make better troops on frontline vs. others.



What do you think?

    Ok seriously. It's not a good idea. Apart from training disreputable individuals in the arts of soldiery thus making them even more dangerous, what happens if they survive? Do they get pardons, or are they put in jail again? They need to have a carrot, otherwise it isn't worth the money, considering that they could just as easily defect while in the field.
