Hello all!

My Aunt's MacBook's HDD went out, and i'm trying to restore to a new drive with Time Machine; the problem:

The computer doesn't detect the TM partition on the external drive!

When i go into Disk Utility, i can see the partition, but it is colored grey, and i can't access anything in it.

I tried Verifying the disk, and also Repairing the disk, but it just said it couldn't complete the Repair...

Any thoughts?? Her business info and website stuff was on there, and it would be tragic if we couldn't get it all back

Thanks guys!

UPDATE:

When i verify the disk, it says:

Verify and Repair volume ?Untitled 2?

Checking Journaled HFS Plus volume.

Detected a case-sensitive volume.

Checking extents overflow file.

Checking catalog file.

Checking multi-linked files.

Checking catalog hierarchy.

Checking extended attributes file.

Checking multi-linked directories.

Checking volume bitmap.

Checking volume information.

The volume Untitled 2 appears to be OK.

Volume repair complete.

Updating boot support partitions for the volume as required.

I just rand disk utility on another computer, and after "repairing" the disk, it said:

But it's still not showing up in Finder, nor is it letting me repair the permissions or anything like that.

Have you tried doing the TM restore procedure?
