I think Honda builds great cars and the S2000 is a great example. Acura is also a wonderful make of higher end Hondas but the one you link to looks like something to haul around UN inspectors. I think it is ugly but hey that is just my opinion.

    Get an Audi A4.

I would love to hear specific feedback rather than generic comments. Please post your age and the car you currently drive. I am curious about the demographics related to the Element's fans and foes.

    I'm 34.

    I drive a VW Jetta.

I'm 26 and drive the same car as you. I think the Element is a giant turd on wheels.

Sorry, I just think its so damn ugly. I saw it in person at the Philly Auto Show this year.

I'm 23 and just bought a 2003 Hyundai Sonata GLS. I had looked at the Element, but I didn't want to wait that long for a car to come out (they're just not arriving on lots in quantity), and it was going to be a little too expensive for me.

Otherwise, I would have considered it. It would be a very versatile vehicle to own, and for a while it'll get the "oooh, what is that?" head turn.

    Um, 21 and I drive an Rx-7. . .

Anyway, I am not a fan of Hondas because I find them to be overpriced and too conservative. This one isn't an exception. If it's your style that's cool, but I don't like Hondas.

    18. 1989 Jaguar XJ-S V-12 Coupe, metallic grey.

The element is ugly and in response to Fellowship's comment, I don't think it's worthy of UN inspectors.

I'm 18, and I drive a 1991 Toyota Corolla. That car is great... Corollas are some of the best-built cars on the road. The other car I drive sometimes (both belong to my parents) is a 1997 Mercury Villager. The Villager has actually had more problems than the Corolla despite being six years and 100,000 miles younger.

I'm 20. I drive a 99 Red GMC Jimmy. Although I like the clamshell doors of the Element as well as the nifty configurable seating, it just looks awful. I wouldn't drive it.

not to impugn your character without meeting you,

but at age 18 shouldn't that be a "silver spoon" coloured Jaguar?

can we assume you're using 10.2.x, making you a Jaguar-squared user...

You know, the funny thing is, I think that guys in their 30's like the Element more than the 20-something target audience...at least from what I'm reading here.

I fall into the over-30 crowd, and I find the Element compelling...

    BUT!!!!!!

Now I'm interested in the forthcoming VW minivan to debut in '05. I'm hoping that '05 means that it'll really be realeased in '04, closer to the target time of my car hitting 185,000 miles.

There's an orange version that's got a little bed in the back...tres cool.

I just got rid of my A4.

While it's a very capable and great looking car, it lacks in reliability and fit and finish.

Creaks and noises coming from all over the car for a 3 year old near luxury car is unacceptable.

I'm going back to a Japanese car.
