Hi
We have an iMac where I work that sometimes when it is put to sleep it beeps audibally (sp?) as the power button glows. When you try to bring it back up it is frozen. This only seems to happen on one of our 10 imacs. Its an indigo iMac DV.
Thanks for any help

Is this MacOS? For the beeping check your Engery Saver control panel under the notification tab.
Is Wake Up sound enabled?
This could be what you are hearing.
As far as crash on wake... There could be many causes. This is often related to network activity as the computer trys to reconnect to to servers that were mounted when it went to sleep.
Does it crash on wake even if there were no servers mounted?
Are you upto date on OS, firmware? I believe some sleep issues have been patched.
Some details on your environment might help here.

One other thing to note is that when the newer iMacs are in sleep their power buttons slowly pulsate right? But this one as it pulsates, with each beep it kinda stops (do you follow?) I dont know how else to describe it.
And actually we also use login screens to determine who can access certain files on the drive, so when it goes to sleep it is not connected to a network server.
