Hard drive issue with mac

hey



i have a maxtor 250 external hard-drive. The problem is that this hard-drive is only recognized on my mac and not in windows



i tried formatting it using disk utility to MS-DOS FAT32 and it still isn't recognized in windows



can you please suggest, advice me on how to solve this issue

    Then you didn't reformat it FAT 32 or that Windows partition is incredibly screwed up.



    Try it again with Disk Utility. But first show us what you're clicking on (via screenshot) in Disc Utility to do the formatting.



    Also don't post duplicate threads.

    Use Disk Utility, make sure you choose "Master Boot Record" as the partition type in addition to formatting as FAT32.
