Google Undermines Samsung-Led Handset Makers With Deal for Motorola

No matter what Google says Motorola will get preferential treatment.

Google might say that in public, but you don't spend $12.5 BILLION and NOT take advantage of every aspect of Motorola's business (hardware, etc.) to maximize ROI.

Google's FULL Marketing budget and Distribution muscle is now behind Motorola smartphones.

Google has stated motorola will remain a separate entity it will continue to operate as normal and it will continue to operate as normal. Google will sell it within the decade minus the patents. Most likely they got together with the major oems ahead of time and told them this would be happened and assuring them they have nothing to worry about. Google would not lock itself into one oem out of the dozens it has and lose out on future market gain. This was a calculated decision and the risk have been weighed out and looked at. The motorola will get no special treatment because google doesn't really care google needed the patents. Google may however move some people around most likely they will still some of the developers for their self. Otherwise it will still be motorola they still have to place bids for the nexus phone they will still have wait for the release of updates.
