Keystroke Krap

When I highlight a word or more and delete it, I find that when I begin to type, all letters pile up on one another and don't space across the page like they should. I have to tap the MTP and the Delete key several times to stop the insanity.



What am I doing wrong?



Could this have something to do with the Magic Track Pad I'm using?



Is that Twilight Zone music I hear?
